The new warm-up clothing for VfB Stuttgart

JAKO and VfB Stuttgart present the new warm-up collection for the 2021/22 season: a historic design!
The new warm-up clothing for VfB Stuttgart
JAKO and VfB Stuttgart are sending the team out onto the pitch in the 2021/22 season with a special design. The red-and-white check pattern of the new warm-up jacket and shirt is a piece of VfB jersey history that is exactly 50 years old. It comes from a Stuttgart tailor’s workshop, from one of the world's best referees at the time and the co-inventor of the yellow and red cards: Rudolf Kreitlein.

Kreitlein, a master tailor in his main profession, designed a total of three match dresses on behalf of VfB at the end of the 1970/1971 season. His creation with the check pattern, the red wedge on the back and without the breast ring was actually used in the final phase of that season.

Of course, the chest ring quickly returned to the VfB jersey back then. With the design of the new presentation textiles, together with VfB we are reviving the memory of an unusual, brave and, above all, historic jersey. The new warm-up collection will be presented for the first time this evening in the Bundesliga match against FC Augsburg.

The items will be available from Saturday in the online shop at www.jako.de.

P.s.: The chest ring will of course remain the elementary design element of the new jerseys in the 2021/22 season.
