Kristjan Čeh is new JAKO brand ambassador
JAKO and the Slovenian discus thrower Kristjan Čeh are starting a new partnership. From now on, the current world champion will officially represent the team sports brand from Baden-Württemberg. The equipment will be provided by the JAKO partner in Slovenia, who has been in close contact to Kristjan for over a year. The contract will initially run for two years until the end of 2024.

With the start of the cooperation, Kristjan Čeh joins the circle of JAKO brand ambassadors, which includes, for example, Timo Hildebrandt (former VfB goalkeeper), Niko Kappel (para-shot putter), Mo Jamal (football freestyler) and Celine Preuß (football player).

About Kristjan Čeh

Kristjan Čeh is currently considered one of the best discus throwers in the world. Čeh grew up in Podvinci, a village with 250 inhabitants in Slovenia, where he still lives today. Already in 2016, he gained his first international experience in discus throwing and won the U23 European Championships in 2019 and 2021. In 2022, the discus thrower established himself among the international world elite: he was runner-up in the European Championships, secured the world title at the World Athletics Championships in Eugene and won the Diamond League. The 24-year-old holds the record for the longest throw at both World Championships and Diamond League competitions. Besides gaining medals at tournaments like the World Championships or the Olympics, Kristjan's big goal is to break the world record of 74.08m. "This is one of the longest standing world records ever and we are happy to support Kristjan on this journey," says Christoph Rohmer, JAKO Head of Marketing & Sponsoring.
